Man Accidentally Cuts Off Own Penis


WANTAGE, England, July 5 (UPI) -- A 54-year-old carpenter in Wantage, England, accidentally cut off his own penis while working with a saw, his mother says.


Stuart Keen's mother, Edna, told The Sunday Telegraph her son had been cutting wood for a cabinet when the saw inflicted the horrific injury. Surgeons were able to reattach the severed appendage, she said.


"Stuart is a carpenter and uses sharp and sometimes dangerous tools," Keen's mother said.


"This was an unfortunate accident but these things happen all the time to people in his profession."

Fort Worth Police Chief: That Faggot Had It Coming

Most residents of Fort Worth have never even seen the inside of a gay bar. Fort Worth's police chief Jeff Halstead is counting on that fact—counting on the average person's ignorance about gay bars and certain stereotypes about gay men—to get a half a dozen Forth Worth police officers off the hook for conducting a violent raid on a Forth Worth gay bar, the Rainbow Lounge, late last Saturday night. Seven men were arrested during the raid, which took place on the 40th anniversary of the raid on the Stonewall Inn that kick-started the modern gay rights movement, and one of those men—Chad Gibson—remains in intensive care with a brain injury. Gibson may not survive.

The officers who raided the Rainbow Lounge claim that the men in the bar made "advances" on them—and Forth Worth's police chief is backing them up:

Monday, police chief Jeff Halstead said the officers' actions are being investigated. However, he also said that officers that entered the bar during the scheduled inspection were touched inappropriately.
"You're touched and advanced in certain ways by people inside the bar, that's offensive," he said. "I'm happy with the restraint used when they were contacted like that."

Allow me to translate the chief's comments: "Them faggots in that thar bar touched mah officers and now they're complainin' about some rough stuff and one little ol' faggot with a brain injury? Those perverts should be grateful they're alive."

This is a classic example of the Gay Panic Defense. In the very recent past all a straight man who brutally murdered a gay man had to say was, "He made a pass at me!", and the jury would ignore the evidence and let the murderer off. The Gay Panic Defense doesn't fly in many courts of law these days but it still has currency in the court of public opinion. And the chief of police in Forth Worth, a major U.S. city, is attempting to use the Gay Panic Defense to convince the citizens of Fort Worth to ignore the evidence—to ignore photographic evidence and credible eyewitness accounts—and let his officers off.

And you'll never guess who the police are accusing of being the groper: Chad Gibson, the one man arrested at the Rainbow Lounge who can't defend himself and may never be able to give his side of the story. But another person at the bar witnessed Gibson's arrest:

"They were hyped up. They were loaded for bear," said Todd Camp, a veteran journalist who was there celebrating his birthday with friends. "They were just randomly grabbing people, telling them they were drunk."
Camp told me he has been in bars during TABC/police "checks" before, "and it was never anything like this." Usually, he said, officers discreetly walk through, looking for anybody who has had too much. This was different. "They were shoving patrons," Camp said, "asking, 'How much have you had to drink?'"

"[Gibson] was taken down hard," said Camp, with "four or five" officers wrestling him to the floor inside the club. Cellphone photos shot by patrons and posted to blogs show a person being held facedown by officers in a short hallway inside the club, then show a dent in the wall where his head was apparently banged.

The police claim that Gibson wasn't injured when those four or five cops slammed him to the floor of the bar, but after his arrest, when, drunk and handcuffed, Gibson somehow fell and hit his head on the pavement outside the bar.

All of this is bullshit.

I've been in a million gay bars. I've been in gay bars on multiple occasions when the police came in to check everyone's IDs and make sure no minors were being served. Gay men don't grope police officers when they enter gay bars. I find it inconceivable that the gay men drinking in the Rainbow Lounge in Fort Worth responded to a raid by attempting to grope the police officers. This "they groped us!" shit is a lie. As the owner of the bar, J.R. Schrock, put it at the protest the night after the raid:

"The groping of the police officer—really? We're gay, but we're not dumb," Schrock said to the crowd that gathered at the bar Sunday afternoon. "That is a lie, and I am appalled by it."
Jeff Halstead can't be allowed to use the Gay Panic Defense. His officers weren't groped, no one was "touched and advanced." Homophobic cops raided a gay bar, roughed up the patrons, and a young man is in the hospital and may die.

Some will say that this was just an ill-timed raid on a gay bar in Texas, of all places, one that got out of control. So what's the big deal? But this is exactly the kind of state-sponsored violence that gays and lesbians fought back against at Stonewall 40 years ago. Gay men all over the country are going to have to speak up and defend the patrons of the Rainbow Lounge. We can't allow the chief of police in Fort Worth to use the Gay Panic Defense or exploit stereotypes about gay men—so sexually reckless that they can't even keep their hands off cops during a raid!—to get away with violating the civil rights of gay men in Fort Worth or murdering Chad Gibson.

UPDATE: More on Chad Gibson's condition:

Chad Gibson, the 26-year-old Fort Worth resident who wound up in John Peter Smith Hospital in the intensive care unit after a law enforcement raid on a gay bar over the weekend, remains in danger with a blood clot on his brain. Dallas Voice senior editor Tammye Nash reports on the newspaper's blog, Instant Tea, that Gibson's sister, Kristy Morgan, told her a CAT scan had revealed the blood clot has quit growing, but it is still considered a life-threatening situation. Until the clot dissolves, there is a danger that the clot could break off and cause severe brain damage or death. A rupture of the clot could also start bleeding again.
The blood clot could take from six months to two years to dissolve, according to the update. Gibson, shown in a picture from facebook.com, will likely remain in the hospital for the rest of the week and will be referred to a neurosurgeon for follow-up treatment. Surgery is reportedly not being considered at this time.

Discussion is under way about the establishment of a medical fund to assist Gibson. His hospital bill will undoubtedly be enormous, and it is unlikely that he will ever recover any of those medical expenses from the City of Fort Worth. Police officers and other government employees are protected by state law from liability in any legal action that arises in connection with the performance of their official duties, unless they are involved in misconduct or broke laws.

UPDATE 2: Someone needs to put this follow-up question to Fort Worth's police chief:

If Chad Gibson—the 160-pound, 26-year-old gay man that it took five of your officers to subdue—groped one of your officers, and if it was Gibson's lewd action that caused your officers to go absolutely apeshit, then surely Gibson—who is in an intensive care unit and may not survive his injuries—was charged with assault, right?

Wrong:

Officers then went to the Rainbow Lounge, which had opened about a week ago. They encountered two drunk people who made "sexually explicit movements" toward officers and another who grabbed a TABC agent's groin, according to the police report.
No one was arrested for assault but about half a dozen people were arrested on charges of public intoxication, according to police records. Police Chief Jeff Halstead said Gibson was the patron who grabbed at the agent's groin.

So... Chad Gibson sexually assaulted a Fort Worth police officer and, according to the Fort Worth's chief of police, Gibson's assault not only prompted but justified the actions of his officers at the Rainbow Room, but... Gibson wasn't charged with assault.

Can someone please ask the chief of police to explain how that works?

Burns, however, has taken action on this and has called for an investigation and is doing everything an openly-gay elected official is supposed to do in a circumstance like this. If you're itching to send an outraged emails, Sloggers, I'd urge you to send emails to the six Fort Worth councilmembers who haven't joined with Burns and two of his colleagues in calling for a full and independent investigation into the appalling raid on the Rainbow Lounge.

An eyewitness account from the Rainbow Lounge raid
June 28th, 2009
Remember: Meeting at 5 p.m. at Rainbow Lounge, 615 S. Jennings. Protest at the courthouse downtown at 7 p.m., Weatherford at Main.

Kayla Lane and her sister Kelly were both at Rainbow Lounge last night when police came in and started arresting people. Both sent me e-mails with their accounts of what happened. Kayla has given me permission to reprint her e-mail here. Kelly’s account is ery much the same.

From Kayla Lane:

My name is Kayla Lane. I am a Ph.D. student at UC-Santa Cruz, staying with my sister, Kelly Lane, for the summer. We and a few of our friends went to the new Rainbow Lounge last night to dance and have some fun. I was in the VIP section when police officers started coming up there. The first arrest (that we saw) was right in front of me in that section.


They asked the guy if he had been drinking, and he said some, and they snidely replied, “Well, we’ll see how much!” and plastic handcuffed him as they read him his rights The guy was doing NOTHIG wrong. It was utterly repugnant.

Once I saw this happen, I decided to try and speak with one of the police officers themselves, to go straight to the source and get their side. My sister Kelly and I simply started asking what they were doing here, stating how suspicious it seemed on this date and in this specific club, etc. This was a “State Policeman,” whose name I forgot, who tried to explain their actions by referring to “anonymous tips” and “disgruntled ex-bartenders.” We pointed out the place was open a week, so the disgruntled ex-bartender source seemed a bit unlikely! He wouldn’t really answer my questions. although he did try to grab my hand and flirt with me (which was completely uninvited).

After this, we saw the policemen go into the men’s restroom, pull out at least two guys from handcuffs from there, and pull one onto the ground before forcefully removing him. What were they doing in there? Raucously disposing of their waste?! There was no reason for ANY of those arrests, at all. These people were NOT drunk, or even overly happy or silly. As the last office came by, some patrons were calling out “Homophobes!,” “Fucking Assholes,” etc. - obviously and justifiably upset over the present actions. The officer, whose head was turned the other way, looked back and saw and recognized me as questioning the state policeman earlier, and yanked my arm, forcing me out of the bar in front of him.

After pulling my arm away once we were outside, I calmly told him it was not me that called him these names, but he aggressively insisted it was, no matter what I said. Then he accused me of stirring up trouble by talking to the policeman earlier. I said it was my right to question, as a concerned citizen, these actions. He responded that, “What we do, is right. You can’t question when we are doing something.” I said something about him not understanding a democracy then.

Thankfully at this time, my sister and another friend came out, and vouched for my innocence. After this, he said I could go, after we indugled his ego for a few minutes with some respectful and quiet answers. To the end, he belligerantly and crudely accused me of of the name-calling deed, that he “knew” I said those things and I better got before I get arrested. Apparently, the fact that his head was turned and there was no logical way he could have known who spoke was beyond him.

The regulations are not clear but define
"Picture identification card means a document issued by the United States, [b]a State government [/b] or a political subdivision thereof, or a United States territory that bears the photograph and name of the individual identified and provides sufficient specific information that it can be accessed from the issuing authority"

The regulation then go on to list examples "a passport issued by the United States or a foreign country, driver's license issued by a State or the District of Columbia, or identification card issued by a State or the District of Columbia."

Here is where it gets messy, if "a State goverment" is meant to describe one of the 50 states in the USA then the example issued of a passport issued by a foreign country does not fall within the definition provided. If however we assume State refers to a nation state then the foreign passport applies AND additionally any photographic identification document issued by a foreign goverment which "bears the photograph and name of the individual identified and provides sufficient specific information that it can be accessed from the issuing authority" would also apply. In other words, a picture ID or foreign drivers license.

to me It appears that Ashcroft is going to use the amended 2257 law to shut down the American online porn biz (which is in line with Bush's policy of sending American jobs overseas). While his focus has been on obscenity, obscenity prosecutions are difficult and expensive to prosecute. Not so with the 2257 regulations. It is a very simple matter for a prosecutor to prove that a webmaster is not 2257 compliant.

Do not underestimate the evil that lurks in the heart of a misguided religious zealot like Ashcroft. Even a minor technical violation of 2257 can buy you five years.
It's a very fine line they've created through those regs. The bes is that the 2257 records cannot contain non-2257 records or be contained within non-2257 records (which basically means if it doesn't fit the strict definitions in the rules on "actual sexually explicit conduct" then you can get busted for having it IN your records).

That may sound far-fetched, but these new regs are set up so that they're full of minute technicalities, and can even buy you five years for being too thorough.

I will say, however, that the specific language about the acceptable forms of identification clearly opens the door for much more than foreign passports being acceptable. No 'political subdivision of a foreign government' issues passports, at least none that I'm aware of. It's a matter of where you want to draw the line and say "that's a little iffy."

calming down

i took some time away from the blog and the net and everything else to try and reset myself and went to california for a quick shoot and now im heading to new york for some events and to meet up with some buddies in hells kitchen.
i took the comments to heart and there is some really good advice.
i have decided that i need to let things go and not hold grudges and forget the past it doesnt matter.
someone once told me its not where you came from its where your at.
i do have alot of good people in my life and they have stood by me through alot of crazy shit.
i have a great relationship with my special someone and that is a pillar of strength for me.
for all the shit talkers and drama starters im gonna write them off for the worthless fucks that they are and not let oustiders create headaches anymore.
my health issues will be resolved in time, its manageable for now the main issues i notice is when i walk stairs i get dizzy and short of breath, i get nasty asthama attacks to where i throw up and have to sit down or ill pass out and i get alot of upper respiritory infections.
i can combat this by sleeping more eating better quit smoking and taking care of myself.
until the surgery date.
im gonna take more time off of work daily and bring in additional staff so they can cover down on some work and it will creat a couple more jobs for people who need more income.

i was taking my pitbull for a walk with my nephew today and out of nowhere this stray pit ran up and bit my dog on the throat.
my dog broke the hold and went in for the kill as unfortunately he was trained to do before i adopted him
my dog is a fight rescue he was supposedly a good fighter to judging by the scars he bears on his neck and lack of ears.
but i went to pull my dog off of him and kick the stray away , and the stray pit attacked me it punctured my nutsack one decent hole up on top right before the meat any lower he would have popped my nuts any higher and my gigglestick would probably be missing. this dog was totally out of control extremely aggressive and unfortanately not going to run away
pitbulls are fearless and will fight to the death when trained to do so it was apparent by the size and scars that this stray was a fighter that escaped or was abandoned and not only was it trying to kill my dog but attacking me, and i had my 6 year old nephew right next to me. if it got ahold of him it could easily kill him

the cops came and tried to take my dog and wanted to arrest me for animal cruelty because of the state of the dead dog until i showed them my bloody sack my shin and the bite marks on my dog mr beefy and the people from the block came out and told the cops that we were attacked because there were alot of witnesses
then they had an ambulance pick me up
i had to get rabies shots since it was a stray my dog has some teeth marks on him and hes up to date on his shots but i took him to the vet to make sure he didnt have any internal injuries
this has been a horrible day
but im just glad my nephew didnt get bit. because the pressure and lockjaw from a pitbull would be fatal to a small child

interesting read 10 Things Gas Stations Won't Tell You

1. “Good luck finding the best deal.”

When it comes to gas prices, most stations are branded—meaning the name of a major oil company hangs out front—and must buy gas from their proprietary company. They can’t shop around. With a lock on sales, the oil companies charge each station a different price depending on various factors, such as the station’s competition and its location. That means a station can pay as much as 46 cents a gallon more than one down the street, and that cost gets passed along to you.
Faced with such instability, Gainesville, Fla., resident Steven King plans ahead: “If I know I’m going out of town, I try not to buy gas so I can fill up after I leave.” King says he can save 10 cents a gallon by purchasing gas on the road. You’d be similarly wise to shop around—with prices constantly in motion, the cheapest gas may not be at the same station every time.

2. “I hate it when gas prices go up.”

Stations earn on average between 10 and 15 cents on a gallon of gas. Ironically, they earn the least when prices are highest. When fuel climbs, gas stations must shrink their profit margin to remain competitive, meaning they earn less per gallon than usual. But another big cost during tough times is something they can’t do anything about—credit card fees, which add up to about 2.5 percent of all purchases. When gas is at, say, $2 a gallon, the station pays credit card companies 5 cents a gallon; when gas hits $3, that fee becomes 7.5 cents—more than half the station’s entire average profit. “Those credit card fees are miserable for the gas station business,” says Mohsen Arabshahi, who owns five Southern California gas stations.

How do station owners make up for lost revenue? “Prices go up like a rocket and come down like a feather,” says Richard Gilbert, a professor of economics at UC Berkeley. For several weeks after wholesale prices drop, stations can earn as much as 20 cents a gallon before retail prices are lowered to reflect the change.

3. “My gas isn’t better for your car; it’s just more expensive.”
Oil companies spend lots of money explaining why their gas is better than the competition’s. Chevron’s gas, for example, is fortified with “Techron,” and Amoco Ultimate is supposed to save the planet along with your engine. But today more than ever, one gallon of gas is as good as the next.

True, additives help to clean your engine, but what the companies don’t tell you is that all gas has them. Since 1994 the government has required that detergents be added to all gasoline to help prevent fuel injectors from clogging. State and local regulators keep a close watch to make sure those standards are met; a 2005 study indicated that Florida inspectors checked 45,000 samples to ensure the state’s gas supply was up to snuff, and 99 percent of the time it was. “There’s little difference between brand-name gas and any other,” says AAA spokesperson Geoff Sundstrom.

What’s more, your local Chevron station may sell gas refined by Shell or Exxon Mobil. Suppliers share pipelines, so they all use the same fuel. And the difference between the most expensive brand-name gas and the lowliest gallon of no-brand fuel? Often just a quart of detergent added to an 8,000-gallon tanker truck.

4. “If you’re smart, you’ll put that debit card away . . .”

Your debit card might be a convenient way to pay for gas, but it’s a no-win proposition. When you swipe a debit card at the pump, the bank doesn’t know how much money you’ll be spending until you’ve finished pumping. So to make sure you have the funds to cover the purchase, some stations ask banks to automatically set aside some of your money: That amount can be $20 or more. That means even if you just topped off your tank for $10, you could be out $30, $50, even $100 until the station sends over its bulk transactions, which can take up to three days. If your funds are running low, you might end up bouncing a check in the meantime—even though you had the money in your account.

Unfortunately, paying inside with your debit card isn’t much of a solution either. Many banks charge their customers between 50 cents and $1 for the privilege of using their debit card in any PINbased transaction. The American Bankers Association estimates only 13 percent of consumers pay these fees, but critics say the practice is on the rise and consumers are often unaware of these charges.

5. “. . . and don’t even consider applying for our gas card.”

When it comes to gasoline credit cards, a little research goes a long way. The good deals are great, but the bad deals are really bad. Similar to store cards issued through retailers, gas cards are riddled with drawbacks, says Curtis Arnold, founder of CardRatings.com. APRs are high, starting above 20 percent; many don’t offer rebates on gas purchases; and they often lack standard protections such as fraud monitoring and zero liability for unauthorized transactions.

What about a Visa or MasterCard affiliated with a gasoline brand like Exxon or BP? They often offer lower interest rates and significant rebates, but limit your ability to shop around. In December 2005, a few months after gas hit $3 a gallon, Justin Andringa of Minneapolis considered a Shell MasterCard with a 15 percent rebate on gas purchases. But the rebate was temporary; he decided to stick with his Citi Dividend Platinum Select card, which gives him a 5 percent rebate on all gas purchases no matter where he buys it. “I’m a college student,” Andringa says. “I need to save money.” The deals on these cards are constantly changing. So visit CardRatings.com to find updated information.

6. “Looking for the cheapest gas in town? Try the Internet.”

You can’t actually buy gas online, but Web resources can help you find the cheapest fill-up in town. Among them, GasPriceWatch.com and GasWatch.info help people track pump prices. But the most comprehensive of the bunch is GasBuddy.com, which includes a network of 174 local sites, complete with maps and message boards that tally gas price by ZIP code. “People are frustrated by the variation in the price of gas,” says GasBuddy.com cofounder Jason Toews, and they’re using the Internet to take control.

It has worked wonders for Sue Foust. Every day, as she passes roughly 10 stations on her commute across Tucson, Ariz., Foust makes a mental note of their prices, then posts them on TucsonGasPrices.com, a local affiliate of GasBuddy.com. Then every four days or so, when she needs to fill up, she checks the prices others have posted in her area. It turned out the Shell station she used to frequent is one of the most expensive in the city. Now she fills up elsewhere. “I really do feel like I’m saving money,” she says.

7. “It’s a gallon when I say it’s a gallon.”

It’s hard to know if you’re getting all the gas you paid for at the pump. But in some places there’s a very good chance you’re not. The state or county weightsand- measures department usually checks pumps for accuracy, but in some areas it can be years between inspections. Arizona, for example, has only 18 staff members to check the state’s 2,300 stations.

That means stations there can expect a visit once every three to four years, according to Steve Meissner, an Arizona Department of Weights and Measures spokesperson. In 2005, 30 percent of the more than 2,000 complaints the department received were valid, and it levied $167,000 in fines. The good news is that it’s often easy to catch the most common problem: Older pumps in poor repair may begin charging you for gas before you’ve pumped it. Check the meter to make sure it registers $0.00 before you begin and doesn’t start charging you before the fuel is flowing.

8. “I might gouge you on a soda, but my coffee’s a real bargain.”

With margins on gas taking a hit—in 2006, fuel sales made up 71 percent of revenue but only 34 percent of gross margins—stations are increasingly looking to their convenience stores for income. Given that fact, you’d assume the average Kwik-E-Mart to be a terrible place to buy just about anything. But that’s only partially true.

Stock that usually sits on the shelf does tend to be vastly overpriced, so if you forgot ketchup on the way to a barbecue, you can bet you’ll pay a lot more for it at a gas station than you would at a supermarket, says David Bishop, director of convenience retailing for Willard Bishop Consulting. What about popular beverages? You’ll pay more for a 20-ounce soda at a gas station than you would for a two-liter bottle in a supermarket; water and energy drinks similarly tend to have high markups.

But there are bargains to be had: Some high-volume goods, such as cigarettes and beer, are often competitively priced at gas stations. And a cup of coffee goes for a fraction of what you’d pay at Starbucks.

9. “If you’re having car trouble, you’re in the wrong place.”

The days of the local gas station staffed with a skilled mechanic have all but come to an end. Station owners are swapping car lifts for beverage cases and car washes, anything that brings in a highvolume stream of income and traffic, says Dennis DeCota, executive director of the California Service Station and Automotive Repair Association. The more people who pull over for a soda, the greater the chance they’ll top off their tank and vice versa, the thinking goes. Few owners want the hassle of a business like car repair even if it earns the same amount of money as a convenience store.

In addition, repairing cars is increasingly expensive, and the ill will and potential liability from a fix-it job gone wrong are more of a headache than many owners are willing to risk. Today a service station can require $100,000 worth of diagnostic equipment—a significant investment. It’s a risky venture with little payoff, says Southern California station owner Arabshahi. In fact, Arabshahi removed the service station from one of his locations after he bought it. “I don’t have a service station because I am not a mechanic,” he says. “If he messes up a job, then it’s my name on there.”

10. “You don’t even need gas to run your car.”

Cars run on gasoline—but not all cars need gasoline to run. In fact, 6 million cars on the road today (mostly from U.S. manufacturers and built since 1998) are “flexible fuel” vehicles that can run on E85, a fuel that is 85 percent ethanol and only 15 percent gas. When Minneapolis resident John Schafer bought a car in late 2001, he chose a Chevy Tahoe because it’s a flexible-fuel car. Since then he’s filled up almost exclusively with E85. The big difference he’s noticed: Cars using E85 get about 15 percent fewer miles to the gallon. But it’s a drawback he’s willing to put up with. “I’m committed to the technology,” Schafer says. “With E85, it burns cleaner so it won’t pollute as much.”

While E85 generally costs less than regular gas, there is some concern that it may grow prohibitively expensive as demand outpaces supply: By 2006 ethanol was not just being used in E85—it also composed 15 percent of every gallon of gas sold. Supplies of ethanol are likely to grow thin, which could drive up the price of E85. And even die-hard Schafer says he won’t buy E85 if it starts to cost more than gasoline.

but man o man im glad my stomach is finally calming down i thought i was going to shit myself to death
and it seems like everyone around here is getting sick
and i lost over 20lbs in 3 days from this which really sucks cause it will take me forever to put it back on
but oh well at least i can eat without my ass exploding
it seems that the only traces of sickness are a sore throat cough and general weakness
but if i got sick from all the stresses of throwing the event i can look back and say it was worth it
because i had a really good time for a really good cause.

what a hell of a night
we turned it out ill 5 am
the biggest line up of performers and a touch of the west coast coming through the speakers
hands down we had the biggest crowd of any party over the weekend
and we raised alot of money for t-pan
it was rally good to see the community come together for such an amazing cause and just have a good night with good people
im ot feeling so good so this post is gonna be small

it seems like everytime i have a major event or photoshoot coming up is when i get acne or something will always happen

i have been sparring heavily in gym lately about an hour to 2 hours a day
i have been offered a k-1 fight and im seeing if s still have it and training hard

If everything had gone according to plan, John Gechter would have been studying Thursday for a final exam - one of his last obligations before graduation from Grove City College with a degree in molecular biology.

Instead, the 2005 Muhlenberg High School graduate was suspended and the chances are slim that he'll be attending the weekend ceremonies on campus.

For the past two years, Gechter, 22, has been paying the bills through his secret life as gay porn star "Vincent DeSalvo," earning as much as $11,000 per weekend while jetting off to Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles to film videos.

He did so without telling a soul on the 2,300-student campus in Mercer County.

But on April 23, a fellow student at the college that describes itself as "authentically Christian" found Gechter's work on the Web and forwarded evidence of his secret identity to friends. The next day, Gechter had a meeting with administrators.

His punishment: an indefinite suspension and a prohibition from re-applying for admission until the fall of 2010. A Grove City appeals board turned down his initial appeal. One is pending.

Gechter, who said he is bisexual, had been warned by his employers in the adult film industry that his identity would likely become known.

Though Gechter said that his porn career opened doors in modeling and acting, he now wishes that he hadn't done it, given the academic consequences and the pain it has caused his religious family.

When he broke the news, his mother started praying and fasting. His father was upset, but said that they still loved him.

now that i think about it i dont post enough happy stuff

one thing that i am really enjoying is the fact that i am making a return to the turntables
i love music and spinning is something i really missed
and the fact that since i have come out and said hey im gonna return i have had alot of clubs offering me residencies and honestly the fact that i can get creative to a huge group of people that are into the same thing that i am is really cool
i miss just sitting in a booth and cutting up records and just having a good time with like minded people
so that is really cool
and not just to land residencies but to be able to throw an entire event is really cool where i have more creative control
and not just standing on a box shaking my dick at people lol
i look at my life and i say to myself i have done alot and now i want to have some fun.
and the fact that i am in a position to sponsor and throw an event at pretty much any venue in the world is really fuckin awesome.
so im pretty psyched about all this.
and if my concept goes well than the sky is the limit for it.
and the fact that i can bring some people into the mainstream arena with me that have some serious talent is something i would like to do.
im not a jaded person but i have done alot and i think i want to really try my hand at some new things.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is allowing Americans to make unlimited trips and money transfers to family in Cuba and easing other restrictions Monday to usher in a new era of openness toward the island nation ruled by communists for 50 years.
The White House made the formal announcement during presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs' daily briefing with reporters — in both English and Spanish.
"The president would like to see greater freedom for the Cuban people. There are actions that he can and has taken today to open up the flow of information to provide some important steps to help that," Gibbs said.
But Gibbs said Obama is only one part of the equation, suggesting that Cuba must do more as well.
"There are some steps that the Cuban government can and must take," Gibbs said.
With the changes, Obama aims to lessen Cubans' dependence on the Castro regime, hoping that will lead them to demand progress on political freedoms, the spokesman said. About 1.5 million Americans have relatives on the island nation that turned to communist rule in 1959 when Fidel Castro seized control.
Obama had promised to take these steps as a presidential candidate. It has been known for over a week that he would announce them ahead of his attendance this weekend at a Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago.
"There are no better ambassadors for freedom than Cuban Americans," Obama said in a campaign speech last May in Miami, the heart of the Cuban-American community. "It's time to let Cuban Americans see their mothers and fathers, their sisters and brothers. It's time to let Cuban-American money make their families less dependent upon the Castro regime."
Other steps taken Monday include expanding the things allowed in gift parcels sent to Cuba, such as clothes, personal hygiene items, seeds, fishing gear and other personal necessities.
The administration also will begin issuing licenses to allow telecommunications and other companies to provide cell and television services to people on the island, and to allow family members to pay for relatives on Cuba to get those services.
Last May, President George W. Bush announced a new policy that people living in the United States could include cell phones in gift parcels sent to Cubans. At the time, Bush aides said that U.S. residents could pay for the cell service attached to phones they send.
However, though American cell phones with service contracts from the U.S. work on some parts of the island, service is not always reliable and depends on the phones' specifications.
Sending money to senior government officials and Communist Party members remains prohibited under Obama's new policy. Restrictions imposed by the Bush administration had limited Cuban travel by Americans to just two weeks every three years. Visits also were confined to immediate family members.
Francisco Hernandez, head of the exile group the Cuban American National Foundation, was once a staunch supporter of travel restrictions but supported Obama's announcement.
It will help Cubans become more independent of the state "not only in economic terms but in terms of information, and contacts with the outside world," said Hernandez, who was imprisoned by the Cuban government for nearly two years after participating in the 1961 failed Bay of Pigs invasion.
Miami travel agent Tesie Aral said her phone has been ringing nonstop in anticipation of the announcement, with a tenfold increase last Friday alone.
"People were already planning to travel more based on their ability to go every 12 months," said Aral, owner of ABC Charters. "Whether they can travel more frequently than that depends on the economy."
Also in that Miami speech nearly a year ago, Obama promised to depart from what he said had been the path of previous politicians on Cuba policy — "they come down to Miami, they talk tough, they go back to Washington, and nothing changes in Cuba."
"Never, in my lifetime, have the people of Cuba known freedom. Never, in the lives of two generations of Cubans, have the people of Cuba known democracy," he said then. "This is the terrible and tragic status quo that we have known for half a century — of elections that are anything but free or fair; of dissidents locked away in dark prison cells for the crime of speaking the truth. I won't stand for this injustice, you won't stand for this injustice, and together we will stand up for freedom in Cuba."
He also promised to engage in direct diplomacy with Cuba, "without preconditions" but with "careful preparation" and "a clear agenda."
Some U.S. lawmakers, backed by business and farm groups seeing new opportunities in Cuba, are advocating wider revisions in the trade and travel bans.
But officials said that Obama is keeping the decades-old U.S. trade embargo, arguing that that policy provides leverage to pressure the regime to free all political prisoners as one step toward normalized relations with the U.S.

ever since they built a community center there have been alot of problems
if you notice at night there is a bad element coming back out at night making the streets unsafe once again.
you see the community center is a great thing but the problem is after it closes these fucking gang members dont leave the hood they stay around sell drugs and rob people coming out of the clubs
at first youll see a couple of these fuckers than it turns into 8 then 20 than over 50 standing on the corners.
last summer they robbed an old man sprayed him with mace and beat the living shit out of him.
they catch our glbt brothers and sisters drunk on the streets and roll them mercilessly.
we have tried protests caps and the police involved.
but nothing changes. and it is already a repeat of last summer.

a wonderful cover shoot

i went to los angeles yesterday to do a cover shoot for unzipped magazine
and what was different about this shoot is i did the shoot with a female.....
and not just any female.
the one and only Margaret Cho
the sexy comedian.
she was such a joy to work with and so natural in front of the camera.
i was a little nervous doing a shoot with someone so high profile. but once i met her she was the most genuine down to earth and good natured person i have ever met in the entertainment business.
and i am still just in amazement at how cool she was.
i have worked with alot of models actors and actresses but this shoot really stands out and will be permanently embedded in my mind as something i can look back at and be really proud of.
and how it is really nice to meet someone of such a celebrity status who is so real and raw.
she is also going to begin shooting her own tv series show which i will be posting the details about asap.
so im definitly looking forward to watching that.
and she is also hosting the gayvn awards and i think she is going to do an amazing job and really wow the crowds.

Who can attend events?
All Grabby Weekend events are open to fans and the general public. Events at venues serving alchohol are open to fans 21 years of age and older (proof-of-age required by Chicago law). State or Federal IDs are accepted at most places. Some places will not accept other forms of picture ID like University IDs, etc.

Are events free?
All events are free to the public except events with the icon in the Grabby Weekend Event Scedule . Ticketed events have a limited number of tickets for purchase.

Is There More to Life Than Porn?
Yes...er....No...um...Yes! The Grabbys believe in giving back to the gay community. That's why we partnered with the Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) to raise money for HIV testing and education. and as i have transitioned into adulthood it seems that it has always remained.
after the war my mentality has really changed.
i know that i can fight i have done it my whole life i was being groomed to be the next big thing in the mma arena all my life.
so the fight is in me and always will be.
but after the war my thoughts have not been normal lie when i get encountered or confronted with violence or a threat i just react.
and its not even a thought process it just happens.
i dont know if its a self control issue or a fight or flight reaction, or just instinct.
and im under alot of stress and i think this is just compounding the problem.
and recently the ptsd has been getting very bad for me.
i acnt seem to sleep more than 3 hours and in that 3 hours i am getting the worst nightmares that seem so real its like im actually reliving the experiences again. i wake up and my hart is beating all crazy and its ike haveing an anxiety attack. and an asthma attack all at once.
it just seems like there is something worng with me and i cant figure out how to fix it.
i went to the va to get help for ptsd and the doctor told me that i had one of the worst cases she had ever seen, and they asked if i could stay for 2 weeks and get it worked out.
but i didnt i couldnt bear being in that place i remember seeing all the old veterans in there like they were just left there and were dead waiting to die no visitors no family.
and it tore me up inside, i didnt want to end up like that.
so i went on wothout treatment and now it is coming back full force and its causing me to be at odds with everyone.
and what some of these random assholes dont realize is that when i get assaulted or harassed it brings this out.
and as much as i try to control this it is overwhelming
after the awards season i am going to start counseling for tis and begin the treatmnt for my lung issues. i still wont recieve help from the va for my lungs.
so im looking for the best of the best in this field.
so if i disappear out of the spotlight in 6 months you know why.

all i can say is i am sore lol
im definitly getting back into it hard and heavy
im playing with some new regimens and new exercises so i can shock the muscles and its working pretty good.
but i feel like a trex cause my triceps are hurting
i forgot when you havent lifted in awhile how sore you can get until your body adjusts

as far as vitamins trader joes has some good deals on multivitamins which is a necessity.
im avoiding steroids at all costs believe it or not i have never touched them. but believe me the temptation is there.
i found that high intake calorie consumption a hard intense workout regiment and vitamins works well.
not that im dissing steroid users because i personally think they have their place in society not in competitive sports but alot of steroids are used to fight certain types of cancer and fight muscle wasting which is a good asset for those that need it.
but with my health it would destroy me.
now testosterone booster aka pro hormones i think are good they are legal and can really help with your workouts.
i have been reading up on pro hormones and will probably be trying some new ones i have been reading up on paper tabs called razor that seem to work well, they are legal and effective, but my buddy who is a pro said it put him into a nasty depression.
which when you start to boost your test levels it will impact your emotions cause you are creating a chemical imbalance.
so when it breaks down.
i have my protien supplies, my new gym membership,
my body is healed and ready to rock.
my diet is planned out right.

but what is missing is the motivation

Mall wants Manilow music to drive out unruly teens

WELLINGTON, New Zealand – It'll be Barry Manilow versus the mall rats. The New Zealand city of Christchurch hopes that putting the American crooner's smooth and gentle tones into the mix of music to be broadcast through the central mall district can pacify unruly teens who congregate there_ or at least convince them to go elsewhere.
"The intention is to change the environment in a positive way ... so nobody feels threatened or intimidated," Central City Business Association manager Paul Lonsdale told The Associated Press. "I did not say Barry Manilow is a weapon of mass destruction."
A group of several dozen young people regularly spread rubbish, spray graffiti, get intoxicated, use drugs, swear and intimidate patrons at the outdoor mall, he said.
The city council, police and local property owners covering 410 businesses agree that "nice, easy listening" music like Manilow's "Can't Smile Without You," "Mandy" and other hits might change the behavior of loitering teens.
But one 16-year-old told The Press newspaper that unfashionable music wouldn't deter them.
"We would just bring a stereo and play it louder," Emma Belcher said.
Lonsdale countered that the city would then hit them with anti-noise laws.

Xbox Live bans gay gamer, uproar ensues

Microsoft apologizes for 'inelegant' policies.


Even in video game cyberspace, sexual preference is a hot-button issue.
According to a report by The Consumerist, an Xbox 360 gamer had her service suspended after identifying herself as a lesbian in her Xbox Live profile. The woman told the site that she was "harassed by several players" and "chased to different maps/games" once they caught wind of her sexual orientation. After those offended notified Microsoft, the company banned her account.
Gamers were outraged, prompting Microsoft to issue a terse apology by way of Stephen Toulouse, program manager for policy and enforcement on Xbox Live.

"It is true that as a matter of policy, the expression of relationship preference in Gamertag profiles and tags is not allowed across the board, whether that's heterosexual or other," he told MTV. He went on to add that they were "looking into that policy," which he further deemed "inelegant."
Initially intended to curb the derogatory use of words like "gay," Microsoft's sexuality policy empowers the company to suspend any account that includes words related to sexual orientation in an Xbox Live nickname or profile. It's landed the company in hot water before, most recently when it led to the banning of a man simply trying to use his legal name, Richard Gaywood.
Toulouse went on to tell MTV that the company doesn't abide by user harassment, either, and urged anyone facing such abuse to file a complaint.

taxpayers may have to cover octuplet mom's costs

LOS ANGELES – A big share of the financial burden of raising Nadya Suleman's 14 children could fall on the shoulders of California's taxpayers, compounding the public furor in a state already billions of dollars in the red.
Even before the 33-year-old single, unemployed mother gave birth to octuplets last month, she had been caring for her six other children with the help of $490 a month in food stamps, plus Social Security disability payments for three of the youngsters. The public aid will almost certainly be increased with the new additions to her family.
Also, the hospital where the octuplets are expected to spend seven to 12 weeks has requested reimbursement from Medi-Cal, the state's Medicaid program, for care of the premature babies, according to the Los Angeles Times. The cost has not been disclosed.
Word of the public assistance has stoked the furor over Suleman's decision to have so many children by having embryos implanted in her womb.
"It appears that, in the case of the Suleman family, raising 14 children takes not simply a village but the combined resources of the county, state and federal governments," Los Angeles Times columnist Tim Rutten wrote in Wednesday's paper. He called Suleman's story "grotesque."
On the Internet, bloggers rained insults on Suleman, calling her an "idiot," criticizing her decision to have more children when she couldn't afford the ones she had and suggesting she be sterilized.
"It's my opinion that a woman's right to reproduce should be limited to a number which the parents can pay for," Charles Murray wrote in a letter to the Los Angeles Daily News. "Why should my wife and I, as taxpayers, pay child support for 14 Suleman kids?"
She was also berated on talk radio, where listeners accused her of manipulating the system and being an irresponsible mother.
"From the outside you can tell that this woman was playing the system," host Bryan Suits said on the "Kennedy and Suits" show on KFI-AM. "You're damn right the state should step in and seize the kids and adopt them out."
Suleman's spokesman, Mike Furtney, urged understanding.
"I would just ask people to consider her situation and she has been under a tremendous amount of pressure that no one could be prepared for," Furtney said.
Furtney said he, Suleman and her family had received death threats and had been getting messages that were "disgusting things that would never be proper to put in any story."
In her only media interviews, Suleman told NBC's "Today" she doesn't consider the public assistance she receives to be welfare and doesn't intend to remain on it for long.
Also, a Nadya Suleman Family Web Site has been set up to collect donations for the children. It features pictures of the mother and each octuplet and has instructions for making donations by check or credit card.
Suleman, whose six older children range in age from 2 to 7, said three of them receive disability payments. She told NBC one is autistic, another has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, known as ADHD, and a third experienced a mild speech delay with "tiny characteristics of autism." She refused to say how much they get in payments.
In California, a low-income family can receive Social Security payments of up to $793 a month for each disabled child. Three children would amount to $2,379.
The Suleman octuplets' medical costs have not been disclosed, but in 2006, the average cost for a premature baby's hospital stay in California was $164,273, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Eight times that equals $1.3 million.
For a single mother, the cost of raising 14 children through age 17 ranges from $1.3 million to $2.7 million, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is struggling to close a $42 billion budget gap by cutting services, declined through a spokesman to comment on the taxpayer costs associated with the octuplets' delivery and care.
State Sen. Sam Aanestad, R-Grass Valley, an oral surgeon who sits on the Health Committee, said that once a state Medical Board investigation is complete, lawmakers could review issues from government oversight to standards in fertility treatment.
Suleman received disability payments for an on-the-job back injury during a riot at a state mental hospital, collecting more than $165,000 over nearly a decade before the benefits were discontinued last year.
Some of the disability money was spent on in vitro fertilizations, which was used for all 14 of her children, Suleman said. She said she also worked double shifts at the mental hospital and saved up for the treatments. She estimated that all her treatments cost $100,000.
Fourteen states, including California, require insurance companies to offer or provide coverage for infertility treatment, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. But California has a law specifically excluding in vitro coverage. It's not clear what type of coverage Suleman has.
In the NBC interview, Suleman said she will go back to California State University, Fullerton in the fall to complete her master's degree in counseling, and will use student loans to support her children. She already owes $50,000 in student loans, she told NBC. She said she will rely on the school's daycare center and volunteers.

last night someone approached me and it made me think

i was performing last night and a young guy approached me and said some stuff to me that really makes me think.
he came up to me and introduced himself and told me he reads my blog
and he said meeting me he didnt know what to expect and that through reading my blog i come off as sounding a bit crazy.

and the way he dorded it made me really think about things.
i know the lifestyle that adult film stars live is very different from people with the 9-5 who work in corporate america
but the stuff we deal with is on a whole new level as well.
although there are similarities in theory they are just very different in wording.
speaking to him was very enlightening and im really glad he came up to me because any converstaion that can stick with somebody and make them think is definitely worthwhile.
i think when people read my blog i do come off as a psycho at times. but usually when i make an entry the issue is fresh and those are my honest thoughts.
i dont try to be politically correct in my speakings or sugar coat anything i think people deserve the truth when its reality at hand
i know when i deal with someone i would ant that even though the truth can hurt at times
and i know im definitly a unique individual just in general
and my thought process is very diferent than most i knew that way back in school at an early age.
for example in school in math i could look at a complicated problem and work it in my head and know the answer.
so i would write the answer down and it would be correct but since i didnt show the work i would only get half credit
i asked the teacher why did i get 50% on this paper when every answer is right, and was told because you didnt show the work
my response was i work it in my head and can give you the answer the goal of the problem is to get the answer which i gave you so whats the issue.
the teachers response was you need to explain the answer my response was you ask the question i gave you the answer it doesnt matter how i came to the conclusion
shit like that i never understood.
and it pissed me off
but being different and thinking out side the box is what has always caused me to excel in alot of things
the army specifically there are rules and regulations for everything now in some things there are specific reasons to follow the book and i support that.
but in some cases there is a better way that is cost effective and quicker with the same if not better results.
now coming off as a psycho to me seems business as usual and the normality for me and those that know me well.
i speak freely, i dont back down, and i do what needs to be done.
and that has always worked for me, and that is what most people i think dont grasp
like for example if im in a club performing and someone is being a total asshole, i will get off the stage and call them an asshole to their face. why not?
if someone is being rude to me ill be just as rude to them.
i use a theory called equal force it is good in theory but you need to know what you can back up and what you cant
its kind of like flight or fight in a sense
it applies in business personal and just about everything
if im at a car dealorship and i want to buy a car, i know i have the ultimate power because i can walk away. so i hold all the cards if the salesman is rude and not giving me what i want i can be rude and walk away and buy somewhere else
if im at a club performing and someones being an asshole i can tell him to knock i off if it workd cool.
if he wants to get obnoxious i can snatch his ass and through him through the door.
if im walking down the street and 5 guys pick a fight with me alone im gonna fight and fight dirty il pick up a brick and smash some skulls in. or pull my glock
i think imone of the rare cases that just reacts and that is what alot of people dont do these days and that is why people get stepped on and its sad, because you as an individual wield alot of power.
for example the whole prop 8 issue which really pisses me off.
and this might stir up some controversy but this is how i would attack it.
they dont want to allow gay marriage so this is how i would fight back.
the protests are great and turn heads but in the end piss more people off than do good
so i would bring in the legal beagles and start tying up all the business that supported the gay mariage ban,
i would bash these companies in the media non stop.
the gay communities dollar is very heavy leverage against these companies, stop spending there and convince those around you to as well. when attacking corporations money is the tool especially in this economy.
stop claiming your a victim once you label yourself a victim your admiting defeat go on the assault. and attack not with violence but with every tool in your army.
get their finances frozen for indescrepencies, remove their tax free status, get access to public records and expose those and put them in the hands of news agencies and those that will put the heat on them.
discredit them with anything.
bring in the bad element if the business is in nice picture perfect america, lobby for housing authorites to come in and build around their business and watch their sales fall. bring in the street element to hang around and harass their customers.
compete with them if your a business owner out sell them and steal their customers, and run em out of town.
use the media against your opponent, remember its not slander if its true.
and make the enemy of your enemy your friend and join forces.
be creative, attack from unexpected angles and stay 10 steps ahead.
overwhelming power, hit em hard it em frequent make them scared to wake up.
stress them out till they cant handle it and dont want to deal with it anymore. find their fears and play on them
thats how i do it.
you see you have to think outside the box lie me and you can achieve now these are to opposition not to friends and allies
so i guess i do come off as a little strange but i play by a different set of rules than most

hitting the weights again

my back is healed and ready to rock.
but in the past 4 days i noticed that the shoulder is an issue again. i had a gentleman on here shoot me an email about swimming and that has definitly helped. it was a great pointer.

im starting to plan out my regiment for the next 6 months and i need to focus more on my legs so im not so disproportionate this time.
and for those that are wondering im steroid free, even though i have thought about using them i realized that with my temper it would not be a good idea and not to mention the long term health issues they create i figure i have enough on my plate already in terms of health problems.

LOS ANGELES – A man who fatally shot his wife, five young children and himself Tuesday had earlier faxed a note to a TV station claiming the couple had just been fired from their hospital jobs and together planned the killings as a final escape for the whole family.
"Why leave the children to a stranger?" Ervin Lupoe wrote, according to KABC-TV.
The station called police after receiving the fax, and a police dispatch center also received a call from a man who stated, "'I just returned home and my whole family's been shot."
Officers rushed to the home in Wilmington, a small community between the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, about 8:30 a.m., apparently within minutes of the killings. Officers could still smell the gunshot residue in the air.
Although the fax asserted that Ana Lupoe planning the killings of the whole family, police Lt. John Romero said Lupoe was the suspect. A revolver was found next to his body.
Ana Lupoe's body was found in a downstairs bedroom with the bodies of the couple's twin 2-year-old boys. The bodies of an 8-year-old girl, twin 5-year-old girls were found alongside Lupoe's in an upstairs bedroom.
It was the fifth mass death of a Southern California family by murder or suicide in a year. Police urged those facing tough economic times to get help rather than resort to violence
"Today our worst fear was realized," said Deputy Chief Kenneth Garner. "It's just not a solution. There's just so many ways you find alternatives to doing something so horrific and drastic as this."
Lupoe removed three of the children from school about a week and a half ago, saying the family was moving to Kansas, the school principal told KCAL-TV. Crescent Heights Elementary School Principal Cherise Pounders-Caver said nothing seemed to be troubling Lupoe at that time; she did not ask why the family was moving.
Kaiser Permanente Medical Center West Los Angeles released a statement confirming both Lupoe and his wife worked there; both were medical technicians.
"We are deeply saddened to hear of the deaths of the Lupoe family," it said in a statement.
In the letter he faxed to a TV station, Ervin Lupoe claimed he and his wife both had been fired and that she suggested they kill themselves and their children, too. Police described the fax but did not release the details.
KABC reported that the man claimed in the fax that a medical center administrator rebuffed them when they showed up to work, told them to file a union grievance and said, "You should have blown your brains out."
Lupoe wrote that they filed a grievance but nothing was done and two days later they were fired, KABC said.
"They did nothing to the manager who started such and did not attempt to assist us in the matter, knowing we have no job and five children under 8 years old with no place to go. So here we are," the note said.
At the bottom of the note, Lupoe wrote, "Oh lord, my God, is there no hope for a widow's son?"
The Kaiser Permanente statement made no comment on the claims in Lupoe's fax.
"He was going through some critical situations at the job, that's what he described in that two-page letter, ongoing problems at the job, and that's what prompted him to take his own life and his family's, from what was said in the fax letter," Garner said.
The two-story home, much larger than its one-story neighbors, sits in front of a railroad track in Wilmington, a small community about 18 miles south of downtown. A children's playset stood in the backyard.
Retired truck driver Jaime Solache, who lives a few doors down, said many of these newer, larger homes in the neighborhood had gone into foreclosure. The Lupoe house, which has a sign hanging above the driveway reading "The Lupoe's Pad," is about 6 years old, Solache said.
News of the killings sent shivers through the community, and several neighbors came to the yellow police tape to watch a steady procession of officials enter and leave the home.
"This area right here is quiet, calm," said Armando Chacon, who lives one block north. "People like to sit out at weekends and barbecue. Other than this, no problems at all."
A community meeting was planned later Tuesday in a local church.

On Dec. 24, a man dressed up as Santa Claus invaded a Christmas Eve party at his ex-wife's parents' home in suburban Covina. His ex-wire and eight of her relatives died from gunshots or in the house fire he set. The man later killed himself.
In October, an unemployed financial manager despairing over extreme money problems shot and killed his wife, three children, mother-in-law and himself in their home in the Porter Ranch area of the San Fernando Valley.
In June, five members of a Turkish-American family, clad in black, were found dead in an upscale home in San Clemente. Investigators say it was apparently a suicide pact but the reason is a mystery.

Now we're seeing one of the first moderately-sized exploits to take advantage of Mac users. The iServices.A Trojan horse is an attack being distributed via BitTorrent, where it's disguised as a bootleg copy of the new iWork 09. Once installed, the malware takes administrator access and connects to remote servers over the Internet, where it can be given additional instructions as the author commands, from installing additional malware to stealing information off the Mac in question. The malware creator can also take complete remote control of any compromised machine.

Security firm Intego said that just 20,000 machines had been infected as of January 21 but that the risk of ongoing infection was "serious, and users may face extremely serious consequences" if they are stricken with the malware.

Mac users are suggested to use common sense -- that is, don't try to download and installed pirated software -- and to update any antivirus definitions immediately. If you're a Mac user and aren't using security software, well, this might be a good time to start.
